“New York is full of tap dancers, say Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards and Michelle Dorrance, but you would never know it. Aside from and the occasional dance festival or short engagement, tap has no steady base in the city. Its top performers are often left scrambling from gig to gig. These two women want to change that.”
